15 years. Every continent. One conclusion.

The digital marketing industry has a structural problem. The people who understand the strategy are rarely the people who talk to the client. Between the business owner with a real problem and the expert who can solve it sits a layer of account managers, junior executives, and process overhead that slows everything down and inflates every invoice.

After fifteen years working across agencies, markets, and business types — watching clients pay for services they did not need, watching good businesses lose months of growth to bad strategy, watching the agency model prioritise retention over results — the decision to build something different became unavoidable.

2009

The beginning — search intelligence from the ground up

Started in digital marketing during the period when SEO was still a largely misunderstood discipline. Built a methodical understanding of how search engines think, what they reward, and how algorithm shifts change the game — from the earliest Google Panda and Penguin updates through every major shift since.

2012

Agency life — the first view from inside the machine

Joined the agency world and discovered the structural problem firsthand. The gap between what clients were told and what was actually being delivered was significant. Started building frameworks to close that gap — transparent reporting, direct access, accountable results.

2016

Going global — clients across every major continent

Expanded work to include clients across Africa, Europe, the Middle East, Asia-Pacific, and the Americas. Each market taught something different about how search behaviour, cultural context, and platform dynamics intersect. The intelligence this built across markets is not available in a single-market career.

2019

The breaking point — watching clients pay for things they did not need

The longer his agency career continued, the clearer the pattern became. Clients on bloated retainers receiving generic deliverables from rotating junior teams. Long feedback loops, low oversight, and pricing structures designed to prevent churn rather than generate results. The decision to do something different began here.

2025

Oxford Saïd Business School — AI Governance certified

Completed the Oxford Saïd AI for Business and AI Governance programmes. Added formal governance frameworks to the existing practical AI implementation knowledge — a combination that almost nobody in the digital marketing space holds. The credential is less about the certificate and more about the framework it provides for thinking about AI in a business context.

2026
