The Anti-Agency Model
A different way of working exists.
We do not believe in locking businesses into endless, multi-year retainers. We do not believe in account manager layers that slow everything down and inflate every invoice. And we do not believe a business should stay with an agency out of fear of what happens when they leave. We built Conversion Game to prove a better model is possible.
THE CORE COMMITMENTS
Direct strategist access
The person you speak to is the person who builds and executes the strategy. Always.
Cancel when you are ecstatic
We encourage clients to leave when the results speak for themselves. Our success metric is your independence.
We vet your next agency
When you are ready to move on, we interview your incoming agency to ensure they have the technical capability to hold the line.
We will walk away first
If our guidelines are not followed, we facilitate an immediate handover. We map the board for victory. We do not participate in a tanking website.
THE PROBLEM
Traditional agencies put layers between you and the result.
The standard agency model has a structural problem that very few people inside it are willing to name. The people who understand the strategy are rarely the people who talk to the client. Between the business owner with a real problem and the expert who can solve it sits a layer of account managers, junior executives, and process overhead that slows everything down, inflates every invoice, and protects the agency relationship rather than the client result.
After fifteen years working across agencies, markets, and business types, the pattern is consistent: clients on bloated retainers, generic deliverables from rotating junior teams, long feedback loops, low oversight, and pricing structures designed to prevent churn rather than generate results. The cost to the client is measured in months of lost momentum and hundreds of thousands in misallocated budget.
⇰
The account manager layer
The person who sells you the strategy is rarely the person who delivers it. Your brief passes through at least two hands before anyone starts working on it. By that point, context is lost and assumptions are made.
⇰
The junior team problem
Senior strategists win the pitch. Junior teams do the work. This is not a criticism of junior talent — it is a structural problem with a model that prices work at senior rates and delivers at junior capacity.
⇰
The churn prevention invoice
Retainers are built to be difficult to exit. Services are added not because the client needs them but because they create dependency. The agency that is hardest to leave is rarely the agency doing the best work.
⇰
The long feedback loop
When your feedback has to travel through an account manager, a project manager, and a team lead before reaching the person who can act on it, a two-day problem becomes a two-week problem. Compounded across a retainer, this is expensive.
THE CONVERSION GAME WAY
We do the exact opposite.
A deliberately small client group
We limit the number of active clients we work with. This is not a capacity constraint — it is a quality commitment. Every client in the group gets undivided strategic attention from a senior practitioner who knows their business, their data, and their competitive landscape in detail.
We fix your technical foundation first
Before we talk about traffic, rankings, or campaigns, we audit the data architecture. GA4, GTM, Search Console, attribution modelling — if the measurement infrastructure is wrong, every decision that follows it is built on sand. We build on rock.
We encourage you to leave when you are happy
This is the part that confuses people the most. Our goal is your independence, not your dependency. When your results are strong and you are ready to manage the strategy internally or move to a different model, we celebrate that. A client who leaves happy is a client who refers.
We migrate your entire portfolio on the way out
When you decide to move on, we do not just hand over a folder of documents. We interview and assess your incoming agency or internal team before handover. We verify they have the technical capability to maintain what has been built. We migrate your website. When you are confident, we migrate everything else.
We will walk away before we compromise the work
If our technical guidelines are not followed — by your development team, your internal stakeholders, or anyone else involved in the project — we facilitate an immediate and clean handover to another specialist. We map the board for victory. We do not participate in decisions that will tank a website we have worked to protect.
“We don’t believe in locking businesses into endless, multi-year retainers. Traditional agencies put layers of middle-men between you and the actual strategist. It leads to low performance, low oversight, and daylight robbery that costs hundreds of thousands to fix. We do the exact opposite.”

THE WAITLIST MODEL
Because we work with a small number of clients at any one time, there are periods when we are at capacity. When a client moves on, a position opens. We do not rush this.
A consultation determines whether we are the right fit for your situation. If we are, you move to the front of the queue. If we are not, we will tell you honestly and point you in the right direction — including recommending a specific specialist if we know of one.
The consultation is free. The strategy we discuss in it is not generic. Every conversation is specific to your situation, your data, and your competitive landscape.
WHO THIS IS FOR
This model is not for everyone. It is for the right few.
Small and medium businesses tired of agency promises that do not deliver results
You have been on a retainer, received monthly reports, and seen very little that you could connect to actual business outcomes. You want someone who can explain exactly what they are doing and why.
Business owners planning a significant digital transition
A website migration, a platform change, a new market entry, or a rebrand with SEO implications. High-stakes transitions that require a specialist who has done this before across multiple markets and business types.
Founders who want direct access to the strategist
Not a relationship manager. Not a point of contact. The actual person who builds the strategy, reads the data, and makes the decisions. You have the budget for that person. You want to make sure you are paying for them.
Companies that have been burned and are rebuilding
A previous agency, a bad migration, a penalty recovery, or a brand that lost significant organic visibility and needs a structured path back. Rebuilding requires experience. Experience requires time in the market.
COST OF DELAY
The wrong strategy costs months. The wrong agency costs thousands. A conversation costs nothing.
Every month spent on a strategy that is not working is a month of compounding loss. Rankings that drop take longer to recover than they took to build. Traffic that disappears during a poorly managed migration can take six to twelve months to return — if it returns at all.
The cost of a consultation is zero. The cost of a wrong agency relationship is measured in time, budget, and momentum that none of us can recover.
